Our weather outlook favors lighter wind and gusts, lower rain chances, and no thunderstorms. “Good” means daily peak wind at most 12 mph, gusts at most 20 mph, and rain chance at most 30%. “Mixed” allows up to 18 mph wind, 28 mph gusts, and 60% rain. Higher values, thunderstorms, or wintry precipitation get “Tough.” Missing readings get no rating. This is a weather comparison, not a bite prediction or a boating safety clearance. Tides, waves, currents, and local marine alerts also matter.
We compare two-hour daylight windows with changing predicted tide height, giving extra weight to first and last light, lighter wind, and less rain. Every hour must stay at or below 18 mph wind, 28 mph gusts, and 60% rain chance, with no thunderstorms or wintry precipitation. Past windows and incomplete data are excluded. These are planning suggestions, not proven bite times. Tide-height change is not a prediction of local current speed. Pier 21 tide times differ from nearby bays, passes, and beaches; weather can change actual water levels. Heights are feet above MLLW.
